I'll bet that title has been used before...
I'm on the road, so this will be a shortie.
Volatility is a word being tossed around on Wall Street these days, even with the current surge in the market. I think this term also applies to the pokershpere (blogs included). Although most of the poker site volatility has calmed, it seems a lot of hardcore players have jumped ship recently. Burnout or bust out, a few bloggers have hung it up (although new bloggers usually emerge to take their place).
Other bloggers seem to write more about non-poker topics. I think this falls under the category of blog evolution - after all, how many bad beats and donkeys can you write about?
There has been a quiet lull in poker news these past few months. With the WSOP slowly creeping up on us, I hope this will change.
While a good tournament player will never have to worry about the games drying up, the changing landscape makes me wonder if the poker boom has become a bane.

Taxes, Teaching & Travel
Busy, busy, busy.
My cooler had passed only because I've been occupied with other things. One new endeavor (I'll blog about in the future) might become my new #1 pastime.
I still have to file my taxes. I'm such a slacker (and somewhat ashamed, being a former accountant.)
I've been teaching poker to a few of my cohorts. Mostly NLHE tournament strategy. It's a lot of fun for me and I'll probably bankroll a few of them who catch on quickly.
I'm going to Cambridge to visit my sister and take in a Sox/Jays game. Right now it's shaping up to be Halladay vs. Schilling (hope, hope!). I have an extra day in there, so maybe I can find time to look up Waffles.
Here's hoping I can light a fire under my poker desire and rebound to turn this month into a winner.

Arctic Cooler
I had decided upon some specific poker goals for April and planned about blogging them here. However, the poker gods have brought in a cold front that could keep the Jagermeister chilled for a LONG time. I have not cashed in a while and I'm approaching my longest recorded dry spell.
I'm not seeing good hands and the best I get is running into something better. I may have to go back to razz.
I was intrigued by the Battle of the Blogger Tournaments. Unfortunately, playing at FTP precludes me from competing. Also, it seems with so many events that whoever wants to pony up all the entries will finish high on the leader board.
I am so stoked that baseball is finally back. I'll have to suffer through another season in this "all Yankees, all the time" market, but this could be the Blue Jays year. Find a fifth starter and stay healthy, please.
